Bao earned his BA in Molecular and Cell Biology, with an emphasis in Immunology and Molecular Medicine, from UC Berkeley. As an undergraduate, he worked in the Raulet Lab, where he developed a model of tumor heterogeneity in mice and conducted spatial analysis of immune cell infiltration. 

Outside the lab, Bao enjoys cooking, going to the gym, fencing,  listening to podcasts, and trying new restaurants.
